I am a reasonably satisfied 1st-Gen IRIS customer, and a subscriber to IRIS Premium Service.
I have just taken delivery of (but not yet installed) a 2nd Gen Hub.
The reason I have not installed the new […]

I am happy to see I am not the only one making the change. Lowe’s Iris Gen 2 had so much potential. I migrated with a little more planning than you about two months ago. I felt let down by the Gen 2 platform […]

Pretty impressive to move that much equipment. I have around 55 devices and even for that SmartThings would be an expensive transition. I’m also frustrated about the closed system. For the moment if my V2 move […]

I wasn’t aware there were options to use another system. What are a few of the options as far as other systems like iris?

So, I decided to log in to my hub tonight after reading this, only to find that my hub was offline and all my devices (with the exception of the smart buttons) have been removed. This is some of the most […]

Has anyone looked into, or have any idea as to what it might take to develop a local server instance to control the v1 hubs. Now that they are being unceremoniously axed by Lowe’s, I wonder if we might be able to […]

“One valuable feature of Iris is that it has the option for a cellular data connection to act as… a primary connection in areas where always-on internet is not available.”
Well yes, but not anymore. A notification has been sent to cellular modem uses that Iris/Lowes is terminating cellular service June 30th (2016). Now, there is talk of a new…[Read more]

Paul Cardelli started the topic Orbit Timer on 2.0 Hub in the forum All Things Iris 8 years, 10 months ago
So it looks like the new 2.0 hub does not have a built in timer for the irrigation system. I was told by support this was added a couple weeks ago. Doe anyone with the paid account have access to the new timer?
I’m thinking of switching back to the First Gen hub just for my timer, in time for watering season.

I would go and check your settings to make sure the phone number assigned to your account was not lost. Even if it is there, I would enter it again and save it. Give that a try and let me know how you make out!
